Our team

Michael Binnion is President & CEO of and a founding shareholder of Questerre Energy Corporation, which he established in November 2000.

Michael is a seasoned entrepreneur with a history of starting, financing and managing companies and not-for-profits. He has extensive experience as a board member for several high-tech companies in Canada. Additionally, he is the Executive Director of Rupert’s Crossing Ltd, a private merchant banking firm. He is also Chairman of both High Arctic Energy Services and the Manning Foundation. Most recently he founded the Modern Miracle Network, an organization of Canadians wanting adult conversations about the benefits and impacts of energy use.

He is the founder and Chairman of the Sage Roots Foundation, seeking to end on-reserve poverty by reconciling traditional native knowledge, excellence in environmental stewardship, and entrepreneurship.

Michael holds a Bachelor of Commerce and Finance from the University of Alberta.

Jason D’Silva is the Chief Financial Officer and is one of the founding shareholders of Questerre Energy Corporation. Jason has over 20 years of experience in corporate finance and management of primarily junior public companies including Terrenex Acquisition Corporation, Flowing Energy Corporation, and CanArgo Energy Corporation.

Jason holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Banking, Finance, Corporate and Securities Law from Utah State University

Patrick is a recognized global energy expert in over 40 countries with clients including integrated oil majors, national oil companies and oilfield service companies at an executive and operational level. Most recently, Patrick was a partner at Ernst & Young and was Vice President & Global Leader, Oil & Gas Services at Capgemini Consulting.

Patrick holds an MBA from the Haskayne School of Business at the University of Calgary, in addition to a Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) from Dalhousie University.

International and Canadian experience in different sizes and types of downstream and upstream projects with Technip Italy, Technip Canada and PetroChina Canada. Holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of L’Aquila.
